About Us

The Cossack Titles Society is a historical and educational project created to revive the tradition of Cossack honor in modern Ukraine.

We believe that true respect for a person must have a symbol, a memory, and weight. That is why an honorary Cossack title today has become not merely a historical tradition, but a modern form of public recognition for people respected by their own.

For many, it is a special gift with meaning — a symbolic token for a brother-in-arms, a commander, a serviceman, a volunteer, or a person who has walked a difficult path in life and deserves honor.

We see how strong the emotions are in the moment when a person first holds their own coat of arms and ordonnance in their hands and sees their name in an honorary Cossack title. That is why, for many, it becomes a memory for a lifetime.

The Cossack Titles Society brings together servicemen, veterans, volunteers, historians, artists, and people who hold dear the Cossack tradition, Ukrainian history, and the culture of honor.

We believe that Ukrainian tradition is not a museum exhibit or a page from a textbook. It continues today — in people’s character, in mutual respect, in the readiness to stand for one’s land and to support one’s own.

That is why the old Cossack words ring out in Ukraine once again: Otaman. Sotnyk. Osavul. Khorunzhyi. Kozak Kharakternyk.

For us, these are not merely historical names. They are symbols of character, responsibility, strength of spirit, and trust.

Honorary Cossack titles are conferred in accordance with Cossack tradition and are a symbolic, non-state form of honor.

Our own choose their own.
