The Heart of Cossack Land

The Zaparozhye Cossacks Writing a Mocking Letter to the Turkish Sultan
*signed b.c.: И.Репин 1880-91

Everyone knows what happened to the Kakhovka Sea. The vast reservoir, spanning 2,155 square kilometers, vanished, revealing land where the Zaporizhian Sich was born centuries ago. These ancestral Cossack territories stretched from Khortytsia to the mouth of the Dnipro. Over the years, this region was home to the ancient Khortytsia, Tomakivka, and Bazavluk Sichs, followed by the Mykytynska, Chortomlytska, and Kamianets Sichs, and later the Oleshkivska and Pidpilnynska Sichs.

These names resonate like music to a bandura or the chapters of a scholarly monograph. But today, this pearl of Cossack heritage can only be seen from space or by drone.

We are currently dedicated to addressing the challenges facing the “Kamianets Sich” National Nature Park. As a token of our gratitude, we wish to gift you a cartographic image of your personal hectare of Cossack land. Your contributions are helping preserve this land for future generations.

We are confident that, in time, you will have the opportunity to set foot on this land, feel its incredible energy, and draw profound inspiration. By acquiring a Cossack nobility title/rank, you have personally contributed to its liberation and revival.
